The world has been showing Haiti a lot of love lately, but things there are still pretty bad. After the first 7 plus earthquake, the country was pretty much in ruins. The one remaining operational port was able to keep incoming aid flowing. After a pretty powerful aftershock, and almost daily tremors, the port is all but port unusable and the effort to bring aid into the country has slowed to a trickle. The bottom line is they still need a lot of help. This Sunday at the High Dive there will be yet another benefit to try to help bridge the gap. The High Dive and Nada Mucho are teaming up to bring you a full bill of music and a little hope to Haiti.
On the stage this Sunday will be Lights From Space, The Good Luck Number, The Stevedore, and Fred Roth Revue and Eric Branner. The music ranges from Indie Pop to gritty Americana. The cover is suggested donation, but be generous. 100% of the door, and 30% of the bar will be donated to Haiti relief efforts. If you have some extra cash in your wallet and a little empathy in your heart, head on down to the High Dive and rock out for a good cause.
