The Retribution Gospel Choir, KinskiThe Crocodile | 4/7 | $8 ADV | 21+

Its Wednesday night and you have nothing to do? Well why not head to The Crocodile and let  The Retribution Gospel Choir take care of you. Alan Sparhawk of the famed band Low is heading up this side-project and it’s nothing quite like Low’s heady-deep material. Is it cerebral? Sure, but the stuff they kick out is a bit more lighthearted with thick, swirling guitars. The Retribution Gospel Choir have some amazing vocals and elements of Pink Floyd. Just to make sure your appetite is cured on the already lovely cake, Seattle’s own magical Kinski will be on hand to top things off–get there early.

The FoghornsThe Tractor Tavern | 4/7 | $6 | 21+ | 8pm |

Over at The Tractor Tavern, there is a band that blends two of the hottest musical things on earth: Bon Iver with the instrumental folk trimmings of Iceland. After playing the streets of Reykjavík and completing the musical line-up, The Foghorns decided to call Seattle home in 2008 where they acquired even more talent. Now, they are breaking down barriers with their punk-folk, and bluegrass style. The Foghorns make for an easy listen and translates even better on stage. So go out on a limb, crack yourself a PBR, revel in the local talent.
